Benefits:

  • Cost effective means of disseminating information

Disadvantages:

  • Requires a device accessible to internet access and a power source.
  • Tends to disenfranchise technologically challenged individuals
  • Abundance of information and poor design layout can be overwhelming, rendering the website ineffective
  • Material could become temporarily unavailable if server or maintenance errors occurs
